i’ve been feeling down lately.

and then someone said something i  recently did for them was an encouragement.

i was complemented for my thoughtfulness.

and during that moment

i didn’t feel

quite as much

as a failure

as i (often) think i am.

  1. You are quite an encouragement to me brother! God has spoken comfort and uplifted me so many times through your words. I know that it’s cliche, but you are one of those people that I feel like I have known for a long time–even though we’ve never met in person–perhaps we are kindred spirits:). I’d still like to meet you for coffee or something sometime–now that I will have an income soon maybe we can figure that out. My boyfriend would probably like to come with me of course–if that would be okay with you. I’d like to meet your special lady too:) she must be someone very special to have captured the heart of such a wonderful Godly man as yourself:).
    Much Love,
    Bethany

  2. You are not a failure, but a blessing, my friend. And quite the poet, too.
Chili Peppers kick. We’ll have them play the rest home, ‘kay? (Actually, they might be on my floor).

  3. My dear friend your sentiments are bang on with my own…. funny how Satan’s lies can sometimes sound like truths in our ears.   Wondered if you recognized and remembered who wrote “I Refuse”  from my latest post… great how our own words can come back to encourage us ;) ~Love you my Brother… keep pressing on! ~K
