one of my many flaws

i’m embarrassed to admit that i don’t cook at home nearly as often as i should.

how i came to this conclusion?

i was riffling through my cupboards the other day and found two cans of soup that had expired over a year and a half ago, and two boxes of cornbread mix that had expired around the same time.

and i just noticed these both the other day.

[[lowers his head in shame]]

i’d really like to get in to cooking.  i think i would enjoy doing it.  it’s just that coming home from work at 6:30 pm on weekdays doesn’t leave me very motivated to whip something up other than the easy stuff.

gotta work on that.

  1. Exactly. Start doing it on weekends. Make enough for leftovers. Maybe make enough to freeze (it doesn’t take much more effort to make double the amount of the recipe you’re already cooking up).
