i’ve always been a big fan of winter solstice. i think it’s the thought of knowing that from here on out, the days will start to get a little longer, the sun shining for a few moments more each day.
what can i say? i’m a big fan of vitamin D.
i find my mood greatly improves with the more sunshine i am exposed to.
now, i’m not justifying my moods because of the lack of the sun’s rays, but i’d like to think that there is something to it.
winter solstice has a way of causing my mood to improve. knowing that we’re in the pit of darkness as far as we can go, and that tomorrow things will be that much brighter, well, that brings a smile to my face.
i’d like to think that this time of year also reflects in my own personal life. 2010 has been a struggle for me as a person (the later half especially), but a new day is coming – a brighter day is on the way. i know that there will still be quite a bit of darkness to overcome, but the sun will shine longer with each passing day.
