today i’m helping a friend.

he doesn’t have a car, so he’s recruited my help to drive down to his sister’s place (about an hour away) and pick up a few things and bring them back to his place.  in return, he’s buying me lunch at a ticket to a hockey game tonight.

i’d do this task for free because he’s my friend, but he insisted on returning the favor.

he’s a friend where we really don’t keep track of who owes who what.  “it all comes out in the wash”, i like to say often.

friends like that are wonderful.  they’re a blessing, and i wish that i had more of them.

traveling mercies,
jdh
